XCrab Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 8, 2026

Overview

XCrab is a Chrome extension that displays trending topics from X (Twitter). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

How It Works

XCrab fetches trending topic data from the Atypica Pulse API, a third-party service that aggregates publicly available trending information. This data is cached locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local) for display purposes only.

Permissions

Third-Party Services

XCrab communicates with the Atypica Pulse API (atypica.ai) to retrieve trending topic data. No personal data is sent to this service. Please refer to Atypica's privacy policy for their data practices.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server other than the Atypica API for fetching trends. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
